Week 66

I had a flat tire yesterday at the entrance to the market I was going to.  Lucky for me, a man selling toilet paper with his children at the entrance offered to help.  He and 2 other young men got it taken care of.  I paid them well which made their day.  The put their hands over their hearts and thanked me many times over. Because I did not want to travel too far with the spare tire on, I went to church with my friends, Elder Jim Davies and Sister Becky Davies.  I loved being with them in Dombotombo Branch.

Here they are with our Stake President, President Bomba.  He owns a car repair shop and keeps our mission cars up and running.  This little girl is 16 months old and is so small.  The Davies are the mission medical missionaries and are going to try to see if they can get her some medical help so she will grow more.

This is the chapel.  It is attached to a house and is a tarp on 3 sides.  It was chilly outside which meant it was chilly inside since their is not heat and these "windows" are open.

Everyone went outside after Sacrament Meeting to warm up in the sun before going to second hour meetings.

So many people came up to me, hugged me and shook my hand.  I felt so welcome.  Here are some of the people I met.

This past week we had transfers, missionaries going and missionaries coming.  I have to work to do to prepare for all of these events so I was very busy.  During transfers, about 1/3 of our 180+ missionaries go to a new area.

Missionaries Coming

What I won't miss on my bathroom wall when I leave.
