Week 31

I am now at my new desk in the front office.  I am going to like this.  My previous office was very small.  This is a bigger room and bright.  The front door is almost always open and missionaries and others are in and out much of the day.  I will keep paying rents but will have lots more responsibilities.  Not a problem because I like staying busy and interacting with the many people who come to the office.

A favorite English Connect student.  I will gradually cut back on teaching and will be completely finished when Bonnie leaves in December.  A missionary couple coming in January will take over.

Helping with Zone Conferences is always fun.
President and Sister Davis invited the senior missionaries to their house for cake, milkshakes and fun.  I love them!

Many people in Zimbabwe are hearing the missionaries' message of Jesus Christ and the Restored Gospel and want to be baptized.  However, many of them are married according to their cultural requirements and not the government requirements.  In order to be baptized, they have to be legally married according to the laws of Zimbabwe.  The church helps with some of the fees and others loan out wedding dresses to those who can't afford them.  All of these couples were married the same day.  What a happy day!
