Week 9

This week has been so busy and I haven't been able to get out and take pictures.  The ones you see here were posted by Elder and Sister Stucki on their Facebook page on May 5.  I will see them this evening at a dinner at the mission home where the Senior Elders are serving dinner to the Senior Sisters for Mother's Day.  I will tell them then that I borrowed their pictures.  Many Zimbabweans are baptized each month  There were 123 last month.  As I stated in a previous post, new converts and long time members alike have an excitement and great gratitude for their membership in the Church.

My Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings were full with Zoom classes helping the missionaries with their English.  The days were busy with getting rents ready to be paid.  Because of some banking issues here, the Church Finance Office asked that rents be paid by the 15th instead of the 30th.  I have scrambled to try to make that happen,  Lori and I went to the stake service project on Wednesday and spend over two hours unrolling and layering cloth from a huge bolt in preparation for it to be cut.  We will do the cutting of this Wednesday.  We had a scare last night when our electricity and solar went out.  We were in the dark with no water until we turned the generator on.  We only let it run for a little  while and turned it off to preserve fuel.  We don't know why it went out, but a few hours later it just came back on.  Heavenly Father heard our pleas!  We were so thankful.

We had breakfast with a friend we met at church.  She rents a room to a brother in our ward and he invited her to church.  Her name is Primrose.  She treated us like royalty in her beautiful home.
